Horsefly Trap Ryom Mini 35 cm

Horseflies make the paddock unusable for horses and people on a warm summer day. This trap exploits the insects' hunting behaviour and can cut the population in an area by up to 95 % – with no power and no poison.

How it works

Sunlight warms the black plastic ball. The warm ball attracts horseflies, which take it for a horse. When they find they can't bite into it, they fly straight up – exactly as their nature dictates – and end up in the top of the trap, where they are caught.

How to use it

Place the trap where the sun is strongest, at a height between 100 and 180 cm measured at the bottom of the ball. Keep it at least 10–20 metres from where you sit yourself. The container is filled with a sweet liquid (not included).
